RECORDED LOG | INTERCEPTED TRANSMISSION
INITIATING TRACE ... POINT OF ORIGIN CONFIRMED.
"Is this thing live? Hello, World!”
Over the last week, there’s been a lot of moving parts, and I’ve laid out the warpath.
I’ve moved the site to Substack and rebuilt the backend. Going forward, a lot of older post fluff will be stripped out. Finished draft 4 of Decimation Protocol—book two of the Warmaster Series. Ordered a new cover for The Dark Portal, and the art will start mid-August. Went wide with a few books (Red Creek, Bloodbane, and Flawed to the Core), so I can be found in Barnes and Noble, Libraries, Kobo, and more. The other books will follow.
It’s been a week of sweat, grinding, and silent hours of laying the foundations—but the machine’s starting to move.
Here’s what just locked in:
Website Migration: outpostdire.com now redirects to Substack. (Email’s still being a bastard, but that’s next.)
Book Distribution: No longer stuck with just Amazon. They should be hitting the digital shelves soon!
The Dark Portal: It has a new, updated, re-edited version, which will be posted sometime in September. The new cover in progress. The old one did its job—it’s time for something that fits the story. I’ll be using the same artist from the Dark Legacy Series and the Maro Prakk Series.
Decimation Protocol: Fourth draft complete, now we let it sit for a spell before going into the final round. The decisions burn, the end hits hard, and the epilogue haunts.
Demon’s Fate: This is next on the agenda, going back through and re-editing it, and relaunching with a new cover. A wide release will follow with a premium look.
ISBN Strategy: Backend metadata, categories, and structure all cleaned. Infrastructure’s quiet—but critical.Visibility Prep: Blog relaunch is part of it. Promo stacking, swaps, and newsletter funnels inbound.
This isn’t “restarting.” It’s recalibration.
If you’re reading this, I’ve got a gift for you.
Grab your free ebook of Red Creek—my thanks for sticking with me through the move.
Read it. Scar up. And get ready for Bloodbane—Book 2 drops August 1st.
Preorder’s live now!
That’s all I got for this round—short, sharp, and sweet. I shall return…
Honestly, I do not know how you do it. How are you able to work on so many different projects and still make it in one piece? I am off from work myself, and I can’t get any energy to even do anything, although I did have a bit of fun today with my camera after weeks of not touching it. It’s not much but it is something at least. Can’t wait to see more of you in the print form. When I get a chance, I am so buying all of your books in paper format and ebook format. It’s just too good to not have around.
