What My Editor Actually Flagged in Decimation Protocol
As I mentioned in Flawed to the Core: Building Memorable Characters and Writing, there’s a vicious cycle that goes through a writer’s brain. Mainly it’s motivation, writing, self-editing, doubt, crying, and then it repeats.
Well anxiety isn’t just a one-time occurrence only at launch date. No, there’s many steps in the anxiety ladder, and sending it to the editor is a big one. And I’ve been going through that while Decimation Protocol was away. New editor, newest book written, radio silence until it’s done…yeah, it gets to you until you get it back.
Then, you’ve got to cull through the edits. So, let’s take a look at what my editor said about Decimation Protocol, and see where the issues were.
